Santiago Hernández, founder of Lawyers For Investors, specialises in business law and strategic advice to investors, with particular expertise in agribusiness and real estate.
With more than fifteen years of experience in law firms, domestic and international companies and investment funds, his commercial insight and international outlook have helped him secure significant results in the United Kingdom and Spain, including judgments establishing legal principles in key matters within his areas of practice.
Santiago’s experience as external counsel, in-house counsel and head of legal strategy at major companies, together with his work on real estate transactions, investments and divestments, gives him a comprehensive perspective. This enables him to anticipate developments and understand how each party thinks at every stage.

Antonio González-Zapatero Domínguez
Of Counsel at Lawyers for Investors
Antonio González-Zapatero Domínguez serves as Of Counsel to our firm. He studied law at Universidad San Pablo CEU (1976-1981). Over more than 45 years, his career has been distinguished by advice on highly complex transactions and the highest professional standards in banking and wealth management. He began his career at BANESTO BANK (1981-1996), where he successively served as counsel in the central Legal Department; counsel at the bank's main Madrid office at Alcalá 14, in the landmark building now home to the Four Seasons hotel; coordinating counsel for the Madrid II Regional Division; private banking counsel at head office; Deputy General Manager for Legal Affairs; and Secretary to the Legal Committee. He was subsequently appointed Deputy Director of Special Operations.
Following these senior roles at one of Spain's leading banks, he established Asesores Bancarios, S.A. in 1996 as Partner and Sole Director. The firm continues to operate today as Asesores Bancarios, S.L.
From 2005 to 2014, he served as Of Counsel at EJASO Estudio Jurídico, one of Spain's leading law firms, during a period of substantial growth. He was also a Partner in its Debt Recovery Department and its practice dedicated to the rights to reputation, privacy and personal image. In 2014, he returned his full attention to Asesores Bancarios, S.L. and established AVERUM DESPACHO JURÍDICO S.L. as Founding Partner and Sole Director. Now recognised as a leading Spanish firm in the protection of reputation, AVERUM continues to count him among its partners. From the outset, he brought a substantial client base of prominent families to the firm.
Fluent in English and other languages, he has been a member of the Royal Academy of Jurisprudence since 2001, alongside other notable professional affiliations. Drawing on his extensive experience in wealth advisory, complex transactions and the development of successful law firms, he supports LFI's launch as Of Counsel while continuing to advise a major private investment bank.
