Privacy Policy
1. Data controller
The controller of the personal data collected through www.lawyersforinvestors.com is:
Owner: Santiago Leopoldo Hernández Gázquez
Trading name: LFI – Lawyers For Investors
Tax ID (NIF): 75.265.352-Z
Address: Plaza Marqués de Heredia, No. 6, 8th floor, Almería, postcode 04001 – Almería

2. Data we process
We process information provided directly by individuals by email or telephone (such as names, contact details, company details and the contents of communications), as well as technical browsing information and server access logs, including IP addresses, required for the website’s operation and security. The website has no contact, subscription or registration forms.
Users should avoid sending particularly sensitive data, confidential information or third-party documentation that is not necessary to handle the request.
3. Purpose and legal basis
Personal data provided directly is used to respond to communications, provide information about services, arrange meetings, assess prospective professional engagements and, where appropriate, carry out preliminary conflict-of-interest checks. The Firm may also send informational or marketing communications to individuals who have requested or authorised them through other channels, or where the exception in Article 21(2) of Spanish Law 34/2002 applies.
Depending on the purpose, processing relies on steps taken at the data subject’s request prior to entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), consent (Article 6(1)(a)), compliance with a legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)) or a duly balanced legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)), particularly for website operation and security. Electronic marketing communications comply with Article 21 of Spanish Law 34/2002 and provide a simple, free means of opting out.
Submitting an enquiry does not imply acceptance of professional engagement or the automatic commencement of a lawyer-client relationship.
4. Data retention
Data is retained for as long as necessary to handle and follow up on communications. Data used for marketing communications is retained only while a valid legal basis exists, subject to the right to object and to withdraw consent.
Where an enquiry does not lead to a professional relationship, the data will be erased 12 months after the last communication unless a legal obligation or other legitimate ground justifies further retention.
Technical browsing information, including IP addresses and server access logs, is retained only for as long as strictly necessary for website operation, maintenance and security, incident detection and resolution, and the prevention of unauthorised access. The retention period is determined by the nature of the data, technical and security needs, actual retention practices of technology providers and applicable legal obligations. Data is then erased or anonymised unless further retention is lawful. Processing relating to professional case files and engagements is addressed separately in the relevant professional documentation.
5. Recipients
Data will not be sold or disclosed to third parties for commercial purposes.
Data may be accessed by technology providers actually involved in web hosting, email, support or security services, acting as processors where applicable and subject to the safeguards required by the GDPR.
Data may also be disclosed to public authorities, courts, tribunals, bar associations or other authorities where there is a legal obligation to do so.
6. User rights
Where applicable, individuals may exercise their rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and data portability, and may withdraw consent without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. No solely automated decisions are made that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
To exercise these rights, please write to:
Email: LOPD@lawyersforinvestors.com
Postal address: Plaza Marqués de Heredia, No. 6, 8th floor, Almería, postcode 04001 – Almería
Exercising these rights is free of charge, subject to the statutory exceptions. Requests will normally be answered within one month, subject to extensions permitted by the GDPR. Proportionate additional information may be requested to verify identity where reasonable doubts arise.
Individuals may lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es). Any transfers of personal data outside the European Economic Area would be carried out only in accordance with Articles 44 et seq. GDPR and the required safeguards; this statement does not imply that such transfers currently take place.
7. Security and confidentiality
Lawyers For Investors will apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, alteration or improper disclosure.
Data will be processed confidentially and only by people who need access to it to handle the enquiry or provide the relevant services.
8. Third-party data
Where an individual discloses another person’s data, there must be a lawful basis for doing so. Receipt of such data does not in itself authorise marketing communications or remove any applicable duty to provide information under Article 14 GDPR.
9. Updates to the policy
LFI – Lawyers For Investors may amend and update this policy where necessary to reflect legislative, judicial, organisational or technological changes, or to comply with the law applicable from time to time, without prejudice to applicable duties to provide information and, where required, obtain data subjects’ consent.
The current version shall be the one published on this page.
